The Puretu Purse V2 – Purple
Small in size, but full of story.
The Puretu Purse is a compact everyday companion, measuring approximately 10 x 7 inches, designed for the essentials – phone, glasses, cards and a few little treasures you never leave home without.
Each purse is created from carefully selected offcuts donated by local Cook Islands dress designers. This one features Purpe Hibiscus pattern. These beautiful fabrics would normally be discarded after garments are cut, but here they are given a second life. Every pattern, colour combination and texture depends entirely on what was saved, which means no two Puretu purses can ever be repeated.
The structure and handle are made from reclaimed vinyl sourced from our local upholsterer, including outdoor furniture covers and bicycle seat materials. Chosen for their durability, these materials protect the purse and help it keep its shape while remaining lightweight and comfortable to carry.
Quality hardware sourced overseas adds strength and longevity, ensuring the piece can be used daily rather than saved for special occasions. The interior is fully lined and thoughtfully constructed to keep contents secure and easy to access.
Finished with our signature CIRCLE logo tag, crafted from salvaged mahogany offcuts from local ukulele making, the Puretu Purse carries a small piece of the island’s creative community within it.
This is slow, intentional making – not factory production.
You are holding rescued materials, local collaboration, and hand craftsmanship in one small piece.
Easy to care for, the surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and tolerates light splashes, making it practical for everyday island life or travel.
Because each purse is one-of-a-kind, the piece you see is the only one that will exist.
