Description
The Te Vara – One-of-a-Kind handbag
This unique bag brings together materials that would normally never meet – luxury wallpaper, outdoor upholstery, and vintage textiles – carefully reimagined into a practical everyday piece.
The feature panel is created from genuine Versace wallpaper offcuts salvaged from a local renovation. Originally designed to decorate walls, the material now becomes wearable art, protected and reinforced to ensure durability while preserving its distinctive botanical pattern.
The structured side panels and handles are made from reclaimed vinyl sourced from outdoor furniture covers. This material was chosen for its strength, weather resistance and ability to hold shape, making the bag suitable for daily use while remaining lightweight and comfortable to carry.
Inside, the bag is lined with a vintage green patterned fabric, adding warmth and personality. An interior zip pocket provides secure storage and is finished with matching zipper tape and vinyl accents for consistency and durability.
Details elevate the piece: a green zipper with silver teeth, a metal end stopper, and a silver palm tree zipper pull — a small tribute to island life. The bag is completed with the signature Circle mahogany logo tag, crafted from salvaged offcuts from local ukulele making.
Each bag is individually handmade in the Cook Islands. No two pieces can ever be repeated because the rescued materials are never the same twice.
Practical and easy to care for, the vinyl exterior can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and tolerates light rain and splashes.
