The Viani Bag is a modern take on the classic waist bag, designed for both style and security. While traditionally worn around the waist, many now wear it as a crossbody bag positioned at the front—offering added safety by keeping your essentials close and secure. To accommodate both styles, it features a long, adjustable strap that can be shortened for waist wear.
This one-of-a-kind bag is crafted from upcycled denim, accented with pieces from a repurposed, popped pool lilo—sourced from Michelle, who discovered our work through the Holiday Hub (read more about this special material in our blog post – insert link). The spacious main compartment provides plenty of room for your everyday essentials, including money, phone, glasses, and more. A smaller front pocket offers a convenient space for keys, lipstick, or other small items.
As always, our signature Circle Cook Islands logo tag is proudly featured, made from mahogany offcuts from a local ukulele manufacturer. Adding a functional and playful touch, a small detachable boxy pouch is attached via a clasp and keyring—perfect for storing coins or other tiny valuables.
The lining is crafted from vibrant offcuts of locally designed dresses, saved from landfill (featuring purple and green leaf patterns), with a white binding for added structure. A high-quality rainbow zipper from Australia secures the top, finished with a rainbow heart zipper pull, symbolizing the passion for sustainability behind this piece. The pool toy accents in pink and white bring a fresh, playful contrast, while the small zipper pull is hand-threaded in pink and purple and finished with a sunflower charm. Delicate brass rivet detailing adds a refined touch to this fun and practical everyday bag—perfect for biking, errands, or hands-free adventures!
